You can try and check for the referer, which 2 should be the parent site if you're an iframe

Instead of using the referrer, you can implement 7 window.postMessage to communicate accross iframes/windows 6 across domains.
You post to window.parent, and 5 then parent returns the URL.
This works, but 4 it requires asynchronous communication.
You 3 will have to write a synchronous wrapper 2 around the asynchronous methods, if you 1 need it synchronous.

You have a couple of options:

Scope the domain 5 down (see document.domain) in both the containing 4 page and the iframe to the same thing. Then they 3 will not be bound by 'same origin' constraints.
Use 2 postMessage which is supported by all HTML5 1 browsers for cross-domain communication.

Also you can directly 3 set document.domain the same in both frames 2 (even

document.domain = document.domain;

code has sense because resets port 1 to null), but this trick is not general-purpose.
