It seems more a problem of shuffling that 3 of randomization.

A good start is the Fisher-Yates shuffle which 2 starts with the sorted array of elements 1 and generate a random permutation:

You will have an easier time if you start 4 out with an array with the integers 0-9 3 (or whatever your range is) and then randomly 2 shuffle it. There's an example of how 1 to do the shuffling here.

You would basically want to randomize an 2 array [0, 1, ..., 9]. Here's a C++ example, should 1 be easy to transform to C:

This code only for integer numbers, but 5 I hope it will be enough. I am used the 4 GCC for compilation and only the C standard 3 library. Read comments for details. Your 2 results will be has different values, but 1 since it will be random.
